On the Deployment > Leasing tab of the Catalog Item Properties dialog box, you can specify software leasing options.

To be able to specify software leasing options, you first need to select the Allow user defined scheduling? option in the
The Deployment > Leasing tab includes the following properties:
| Property | Description |

| Enable Leasing (Requires Uninstall Program) | Select to activate Software Leasing to show lease options on Checkout page. |
| Allow leasing up to X days | Determine the maximum number of days to allow a lease. |
| Default lease duration X days | Specify the default lease duration. |
| Notify users X day(s) before lease end | Determines when the notification email that the lease is expiring is sent to the user. |
| Disable Permanent Installation | Forces the requester to select a lease period and disables the Permanent Installation option during checkout. |
| Allow user to extend lease when approval is not required | Allows the user to extend the lease of this catalog item without requiring any approval. If this option is selected for a catalog item, a user who has this catalog item installed would receive the following email shortly before the lease expiration date: Your lease for Orca 5.0.7069.0000 lease will expire on 4/9/2016 7:49:02 PM for User Don (UserDon) on AS2012R2-NB1. To extend the lease for Orca 5.0.7069.0000 lease, please visit This Link To extend the lease of this catalog item, the user must perform the following steps. To extend the lease of a catalog item: Click on This Link in the notification email you received. The My Requests page opens. Click on the catalog item with the expiring lease. The <span class="UI_Element">Request Details</span> dialog box opens. Open the<span class="UI_Element"> Status</span> tab. Change the <span class="UI_Element">Lease Expiration</span> date. Click <span class="UI_Element">Save</span>. |

| Allow extension only up to maximum days allowed | If lease extension is enabled, this setting will allow a lease extension only up to the maximum number of days allowed to lease. |
